Anne's path if she went shopping at the Mall of America. The drive time from her residence is approximately 25-26 minutes. However, according to the police report, the Mall of America was only an assumption by her husband, Brad, of where she planned to shop that day. It is possible that she could have went shopping at either Ridgedale or Southdale. If she went shopping that day at all.

Anne's path if she had went shopping at K-Mart on Lake Street (where her car was ultimately found); The drive time from her residence is approximately 9-10 minutes. ~A mutual friend of the couple said that Anne had a personal shopper at Nordstroms.  Seems that someone with a personal shopper at Nordstroms probably would not shop at Kmart for shoes.

Anne Dunlap's car. Found in the Lake Street K-Mart's parking lot on January 1, 1996 by friends of Anne. ~There were conflicting reports as to whether the friends were told by Anne's husband Brad to check the parking lot, or not.

The car appears to be parked fairly close to the front of the store. It would be highly unlikely for someone to be abducted or murdered in front of the K-Mart store in broad daylight.

~Wondering...

  • Were the K-Mart employees questioned?
  • Did they see anything?
  • Did they notice how long the car was there?
  • Did the security camera capture anything?
  • Was Anne seen shopping in the store?
